I am using this formula which works but I want to change the part ISTEXT($E$9:$E$297), to IF Cell Value = "J"... Can't figure it out

SUMPRODUCT(--ISTEXT($E$9:$E$297),--ISNUMBER(K$9:K$297))

many thanks,
Andrew

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
Maybe:
SUMPRODUCT(--($E$9:$E$297="J"),--ISNUMBER(K$9:K$297))
