SUMIFS with value under amount

Hi Guys,

First post here so dont beat me up about this lol.

I am not sure what I am doing wrong and need some help please.

I have values in column G, currency in I, and need to see how many of a certain currency is below 1000, however the formula I am using isnt working.

=SUMIFS(G:G,I:I,C1709,amount,"<=1000")

GG being the sum_range, II, being the currency range,C1709, being the criteria for the currency, then adding the amount below....

Any ideas would be appreciated.
