SumIFS with specific text within a cell

I have a sheet of roughly 2,000 investors. I am trying to keep track of each of their investments. Some of them invest indivisually, some invest through a specific account.

For example, John Smith has invested through three different accounts that appear as follows:

Column A Column B
Smith John
Smith John Family, LLC
Smith John IRA

Lets say column C is the shares he purchased in each of those investments.

Is there a formula that would sum the shares in Column C everywhere John Smith invested?

From your example cannot determine what is in column A and what is in column B. Please clarify.
