I have a SUMIFS formula on some accounting data with 4 criteria in columns. The problem is that b/c of the nature of the data, the same amount appears more than once, so an single instance could aggregate 2 times or more. I can't divide by a COUNTIFS b/c one of the criteria, call it account name, could appear more than once with different, valid amounts I would need to sum.

Is there a way to sum only those amounts which are unique? These amounts are down to the last cent so it would be highly unlikely to see valid, identical $.

If you start asking yourself if now is a good time to save your Excel workbook, the answer is Yes
Hello, which version of Excel are you using + could you post a sample of your data?

It's an enterprise version of MSO 365.

I suggest that you update your Account details (or click your user name at the top right of the forum) so helpers always know what Excel version(s) & platform(s) you are using as the best solution often varies by version. (Don’t forget to scroll down & ‘Save’)

Heya, I got the same issue as you.

I can use sumif formula for excel to sum values (see my formula bar below) but the program double sums the rows with the values I am searching for.

Below example, I am searching to "Agilent" and "Pure DC" and there is one row in my data with both values so excel instead of getting that row one time, brings it twice.

How do i get to sum the rows only once?

I believe this is the same issue you are having @Enigmachrysalis . Might be wrong though.
