Hi,

I think I might need a sumifs and match option here, please can someone advise?

I want to complete this table, B14 contains a dropdown of dates which I want the blue cells to change depending on whats been selected in B14.

Here is the sheet with the data - the dates for B14 are along row 9 and depending on what date selected the total number of hours in rows 86-88 should pull through onto the table above:

Excel Facts

Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.

=SUM(FILTER($H$86:$R$88,$H$9:$R$9=B14))

I don't know how representative your data is. If you only have each placement once in your data sheet you could use a 2D lookup instead of a SumIfs.
Since you asked for SumIfs you could try this.
