I have two files that I need to compare against each other. My K4C file has 866 rows that consists of individual grant applications, My GO file has approximately 463 rows of consolidated grant requests. What happens in this process is individuals apply for grants to organizations based on tax id and zip code; the second system that generates payments is consolidating the single applications into a large one based solely on the tax ID. Because of this, one large check is being issued instead of individual checks. So I need to compare the individual IDs against the consolidated ones so I can break out the consolidated items into individual checks instead of one large one going to the wrong location.
So in short, I need to sum column B1:B866 from the K4C file if the K4C A1:866 fields match the GO D1:463 fields
I'm using this sumif statement but all I'm getting are $0.00.
K4C fields: (Tax ID & Zip) A1:A866; (Amount) B1:B866)
GO fields: (Tax ID & Zip) D1:D463
=sumif(K4C B1:B866, A1,GO D1:D463)
Can anyone help please?
