Hi,

Im stuck with a formula can anyone help?

I want to sum the bottom row in the image below when two criteria is met, which is 'A' and 'Qty' The problem is the sum range needs to be the bottom row only(figures). The criteria 1 (A,B,C) is a merged cell if that makes any difference!

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks
Leon

Excel Facts

What did Pito Salas invent?
Pito Salas, working for Lotus, popularized what would become to be pivot tables. It was released as Lotus Improv in 1989.
The expected result is:
A-qty = 86?

But I can't imagine how you have the merged cell.
You could upload an image or a sample file.

You could upload a copy of your file to a free site such www.dropbox.com. Once you do that, mark it for 'Sharing' and you will be given a link to the file that you can post here. If the workbook contains confidential information, you could replace it with generic data.

Hi Dante,

Yes, that's correct 86.

The cell is merged due to the lay out of the sheet but it doesn't have to be.

You need to mark your file for sharing & then post the link you get.
At the moment, it is asking me to sign in.

It would help a little if you explain on which sheet, in which cells the information is, where you want the result and what is the expected result.
It would also help if you put information on the sheet and explain it with an example.

HI,

Sorry I would have explained in more detail!

Internals Detail Sheet

I want to sum row 19 but only in the 'Qty' column (criteria 1) and when 'Type A' (Criteria 2) is met.

Basically BCS column is the total quantity for each plot and the 'qty' column is the amount complete to date. I want the completed to date qty for each 'plot type' to be collected on the 'valuation build up' sheet which will produce an invoice for the work completed to date.

Valuation Build-Up

I have baked on this sheet where the formula needs to be (C,154)

Please see link below to the sheet.

Many thanks
