Hi All,

I have the below. The sum if is summing based on column f acquierer ref number. It then sums column c if there is a match and gives me the total. The sum if is giving false positives. See below formuls in n and m one sums db column the other cr column based on column f. For whatever reason it is showing it as 43.5 in columns m and N when there should only be a 43.5 in either column m or n but not both. There is only one instance of the acquirer ref number in column f so based on that it should only put one value but its pulling 43.5 for all of those columns m1 through n4. I think it may be becuase its a text in the acquiere ref number but am not sure.
=+SUMIF(F:F,F6260,D:D)

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.

You could try conditional formatting the cells in question to flag duplicates and see what shows up.

Try this:
Recon.xlsx
MN
4330,300,00
Sheet1
Cell Formulas
RangeFormula
M4M4=+SUMIF(F:F,CHAR(173)&F4,C:C)
N4N4=+SUMIF(F:F,CHAR(173)&F4,D:D)
