I need another cell to calculate the following:

the total square footage(QTY * SQUARE FOOTAGE) of all pylons and monuments

In this case - the total should calculate out to 1*60+2*25=110

I am having trouble getting the criteria and the multiplier to work out correctly. Any help would be appreciated.

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
=SUMPRODUCT(A2:A5,B2:B5,--((C2:C5="Pylon")+(C2:C5="Monument")))

try this (untested)

=((sumif(C:C,"Pylon",A:A)*(sumif(C:C,"Pylons",B:B))+((sumif(C:C,"Monument",A:A)*(sumif(C:C,"Monument",B:B))

It should give you the answer you are looking for. Note: this will look for the data in the entire Column....

Worked like a charm. So glad I asked - I never would've gotten there.

Thanks for your time and expertise. ;)
