Hello.
Is there a way to use other functions with the SUMBYCOLOR function? I've not been able to get it to work.
I would like to sum data that has a specific background color, within a specific date range, containing specific text "Widget #1 " or "Widget #2 ".

Example:
Summarized data should be

Total for Widget #1 (with background color yellow, blue or green) (ordered 1/1/17 - 12/31/17)
Total for Widget #2 (with background color yellow, blue or green) (ordered 1/1/17 - 12/31/17)
Total for Widget #3 (with background color yellow, blue or green) (ordered 1/1/17 - 12/31/17)

Total for Widget #1 (with NO background color) (ordered 1/1/17 - 12/31/17)
Total for Widget #2 (with NO background color) (ordered 1/1/17 - 12/31/17)
Total for Widget #3 (with NO background color) (ordered 1/1/17 - 12/31/17)

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
As far as I know, SUMBYCOLOR is not a native excel function, and is more than likely a UDF (User Defined Function) created with VBA

How was the color applied? If by Conditional Formatting, maybe you can use the same rules for the SUMIFS?
