Sumif based on Highlight?

Is it possible to do a sumif based on a highlighted color?

if not, any other suggestions

This can be done by a macro

Sub SumIf_Color()

Dim x As Long
x = 0

  For Each c In Range("A3:A100")
    If c.Interior.ColorIndex = 3 Then
      If IsNumeric(c.Value) Then
        x = x + c.Value
      End If
    End If
  Next c

Range("A1").Value = x

End Sub

This code will count all values with a red interior in range A3:A100 and displays the result in cell A1.

Changing "ColorIdex = 3" to "ColorIndex = 4" will count all values with a green interior.
