I tried to use formula below to sum cell values in a given range by a given criteria.

Code:
=SUM(IF(Asheet!I:I="Y";Asheet!F:F;0))

It should values from F, where values in I are Y.

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
That would require applying control+shift+enter in Excel, not just enter.

You can also try:

=SUMIFS(Asheet!F:F,Asheet!I:I,"Y")

which requires just enter and it's faster.
