Sum of repeating values

What about the other numbers and the plus, ie the ones that don't have "product of" against them? Just ignore the values?

Does this work?

in C5
=IF(AND(B5<>"",MOD(ROW()-2,3)=0),B5*A3,"")
and copy down

and SUM that column

=SUMPRODUCT(--(MOD(ROW(A3:A9)-ROW(A3),3)=0),A3:A9,B5:B11)

I tried this formula, but I get an "incorrect formula" message. Not certain I'm entering the proper characters every where, just using regular keyboard ( ) and < >. Any thoughts?
