Hello-

I am making a service trackers for hours earned by students. I have it set to sum their hours as they enter them, however, it creates a duplicate line with the total every time they submit a new entry. What do I need to add to my formula so that once a student is on the total sheet, it just sums on that row and doesn't add a duplicate row?

Link to image of my formula and sheet

Any help very much appreciated. TIA!

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.

Yes, the only problem is that I don't know the kids names/id # ahead of time, so I need to only have it 1 one on the second sheet. Does that make sense? I got it to total, but it makes repeat rows based on how I set it up.

copy the names into your master table
you can copy them with a formula
that says "" if the name is blank or grand total return a blank"""
