Can anyone please tell me how to sum a column of cells by the background or highlighted color? I need to take priced that need to be added and when they are paid, they are highlighted and then deducted from the total. I can do the deduction part, just cant figure out the sum by the background color.
Thanks
Karen

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)

Are the cells highlighted using conditional formatting? If so, what criteria is used?
