Been banging my head trying to figure out how to accomplish this. Seems like it should be pretty simple but all the articles I've read fails to get me there. I have a spreadsheet with the following columns

Trade number (numeric)
Date (date)
shares (numeric)
Entry (money)
exit (money)

What I would like to do is be able to select a month, year or specific date and get the sum of the appropriate along with getting the sum for each row entered. Is this possible?

Excel Facts

Create a Pivot Table on a Map
If your data has zip codes, postal codes, or city names, select the data and use Insert, 3D Map. (Found to right of chart icons).

Yes, that matters. While there are many similiarities between Excel and Sheets, they are not the same (there are differences).

Please do NOT post Sheets questions in the "Excel Questions" forum. Please post them in the "General Discussion & Other Applications" forum, as mentioned in the forum description.
