I have column "C" wit numbers that will change daily. I came up wit the following but it does not work " =SUM(C1,OFFSET(C7,0,1))" at the current time the formula is in cell C7

... but it does not work
If the formula was working, what range would it be summing? (I am guessing it's C1:C6?)

It's not clear why you're using OFFSET?

If the formula is being entered manually, you can see where the last cell is, and point the formula directly to it.

If it's being entered using VBA code, and the code works out that the formula should go into cell C7, then the code should also be able to work out the correct last cell and point the formula to it.

OFFSET(C7,0,1) would be cell D7. And without a colon, it would be 2 individual cells if not for the circular reference. So I agree with StephenCrump, what are you trying to accomplish exactly?
