Sudoku

Has anyone played those Sudoku puzzles?

I picked up a book of them last week and have done a few now. They’re pretty good. If you haven’t seen them the idea is that you have a 9x9 grid with a few numbers filled in and you have to fill the rest of the grid with numbers. The catch is that each row and each column has to contain the numbers 1 to 9 and also the 9 3x3 grids that make up the 9x9 grid have to contain the numbers 1 to 9.

There are loads of others but I can't get their addresses at the moment because I'm at work and we have websense to block these types of things :x

I was introduced to Su DoKu just after it was released in the 'Times' late last year and I have been a fan ever since. The Times web page also has a Q&A section with the man who brought it to the UK, Wayne Gould. The page can be seen here:

There was a thread on this some time ago - I believe someone wrote a script to solve it using VBA, not that I have tried doing the puzzle that way.
