Control click to unselect cells. Hey, this is an idea that came in through excel.uservoice.com.
Someone wanted a way to be able to unselect cells when they’re using Control to select multiple cells. You know, we’ve always been able to select some cells that was just to click and drag but then hold down the control key and select some other cells and that’s all great until you accidentally select too many. And then you’re like, oh no. And back in Excel 2013, you should try this if you still have that version. When you control click here, it darkens the cell. But thankfully, just recently, in Office 365, they now give us the ability to control click and remove something from the selection, even something from the middle of the selection. So we have all these stuff and I want to take that one cell out, that’s really awesome the way that that works. So there’s the power of excel.uservoice.com. Next time you have something frustrating you in Excel, go post your idea there, get some of your friends to vote and maybe it’ll make it into Excel.
Well I want to thank you for stopping by.
We’ll see you next time for another netcast from MrExcel
