Hi everyone,

How can I subtract two vlook up values and return the valu in a cell:

VLOOKUP($C194,History.BalanceSheet.Current.Year,MATCH($D$137,History.BS.Current.Year.Date.Vlookup,0) - VLOOKUP($C198,History.BalanceSheet.Current.Year,MATCH($D$137,History.BS.Current.Year.Date.Vlookup,0)

many thanks

Try This

(VLOOKUP($C194,History.BalanceSheet.Current.Year,MATCH($D$137,History.BS.Current.Year.Date.Vlookup,0)) - (VLOOKUP($C198,History.BalanceSheet.Current.Year,MATCH($D$137,History.BS.Current.Year.Date.Vlookup,0))

Thanks for the reply. I was hoping a function would combine these two. So if I have 5 look ups, I'll have to do the same. It seems a bit repetitive.

Is there a way to just use one vlook up if they are all the same and apply to the difference. Like in maths when you you have : x+2x you can make it easier by writing it as x(1+x). Can you not do the same with vlook up and and only apply one vloop and just list the cells you want to add or subtract?
