Substitution script with CSV input&output

Hello dear Excel users!

I got hung up on my lacking knowledge regarding Excel.

My aim is to get a CSV input, which has several coloums, but only 2 is of interest: one which determines the type of data and a number value, which is to be copied unchanged. The output would have a completely different layout (but the contents of the fields can be determined by only that one type-setter data, so it can be auto-filled each time), with the number value in each row transferred.

I imagined to have an Input sheet, a Pairing sheet and an Output sheet, with a Command sheet if possible. The output would end up being a CSV too, so I aim to integrate that function into the script.

My problem is with the first data, the type-setter. I compiled a pairing sheet which determines what type of data converts to what kind of data, but I cant find anything readily which can be used.

What logic could I use to tackle this, and what are the necessary commands?

Thanks in advance.
Regards,
A troubled newcomer
