I'm having problems to get this done:

On a sheet named "sheet3" store the value in cell A3 into a variable called r. I'd appreciate any help or ideas.

Tks,
Anderson

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
Welcome to the Board!

For what purpose? On the sheet of in VBA?

Note that on the sheet, you can use "Named Ranges".
In VBA, you can set a variable equal to a value in a particular cell, i.e.
Code:
var = Sheets("Sheet3").Range("A3")
