Pretty regularly, Excel beeps at me with an error. I do a lot of saving as CSV or TXT, deleting tabs, and other things that causes it to throw an error. I find the beep really annoying. Is there a way to stop the beep without muting the computer? I have already unchecked the "Provide feedback with Sound" box, and removed the default beep in windows. I know it seems fussy, but it really is driving me nuts.

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
You don't say which version you are using but try
Windows Home button>>> NOT EXCEL
Control Panel > Sound > Sounds tab > Default Beep > set to (None) in the drop down.

Oh, sorry! Excel 2010. I've already removed the default beep in Windows, and also listened to the other sounds to see if any of them match. No dice. Is there a way to forbid Excel access to the sound card? The only program I want to have access to it is Outlook, so i know when I get an email.
