Strange title I know, soz...
k so here's the thing. Say you had a list
a
b
c
d
e
f
Now when it gets to `f` I want it to go to
a1
b1 and so on
so I made a lil list on a adjacent column
1
2
3
4
I'm saying to excel:- ok when you complete the first list, then CONCAT `A` & (cell ref for #1 ).
But it's not taking the 1.
This is what it's doing instead --- if `F` was on row 7 - It's concating A and 7.
You'd have thought you could simply use the $ symbol but no.... soon as you put that in a larger formula, excel returns to doing it's thing.
I think there's some type of keyboard shortcut for this, to change the way excel applies the formula, but dang if I can remember what it is.
