You can *bump* your own thread by replying to it yourself (you may have seen some people do this). We usually recommend giving at least 24 hours before doing so (some people bump sooner than that, and that removes the thread from the list of recent unanswered threads, so that could have an "adverse" affect).
Note that there are a number of reasons why threads go unanswered, including:
- The question isn't clear. In those cases, it might be helpful to post a follow-up describing the situation in more detail.
- The question is complex. If the question is quite involved or rather complex, you may have problems trying to get someone to do it for you for free. In those cases, you may need to look into
Consulting Services.
It may be beneficial to post an example, showing people what your data looks like and what your expectred result is. MrExcel has a tool called “XL2BB” that lets you post samples of your data that will allow us to copy/paste it to our Excel spreadsheets, so we can work with the same copy of data that you are. Instructions on using this tool can be found here:

Note that there is also a "
Test Here” forum on this board. This is a place where you can test using this tool (or any other posting techniques that you want to test) before trying to use those tools in your actual posts.
