Using Excel 2007 and getting this message on launch, followed by a long wait as configuration runs (every time).
On Googling I see it's quite common and caused by some Windows update. But the instructions
for fixing are many and varied. Some say repeat steps 5-8 but they're not numbered. Or you can download something that
may work. Or may be a virus, who'd know.
Has anyone here had the problem, and fixed it? If yes, what did you do?

Save Often
If you start asking yourself if now is a good time to save your Excel workbook, the answer is Yes
Thanks, it said I was missing an upgrade, so I got that but the problem changed to "Can't Find Project or Library".
I spent most of yesterday trying to fix this, but no joy. I've uninstalled/reinstalled MSOffice 2007 about 4 times.
Under Tools-References I have MISSING: Microsoft Windows Common Controls 6.0 (SP6).
It gives a Location and filename (C:\Windows\sysWOW64\MSCOMCTL.OCX). I have this file (and even updated/installed new one from ms)
but when I Browse to it, the MISSING: entry stays Missing. And my code in my xlsm file won't run.
This is in Excel, Access is OK.
Can anyone help ??
