I'm doing a dissertation. I surveyed all plant species on 16 hedges.
The hedges were:
flailed once a year on a road next to an arable field x2
flailed every 3 years inside a field (boundary) in an arable field x 2
neglected hedge on a road next to an arable field x 2
neglected hedge inside a field (boundary) in an arable field x 2
flailed once a year on a road next to a grazed field x 2
flailed every 3 years inside a field (boundary) next to a grazed field x 2
neglected hedge on a road next to a grazed field x 2
neglected hedge inside a field (boundary) next to a grazed field x 2
presence and % cover was recorded for each plant for the hedge side and the field layer.
what stats will tell me which hedges yeild the most diversity??
Does anyone have any ideas?
