Hi<

I want my spreadsheet to highlight a cell red depending on the result of a statistical test like "=( VAR.S(M17:W17) )^0.5 > 2* ( VAR.S(N17:X17) )^0.5"

Is there some way to do this in "conditional formatting"?

Thanks,

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
It's unclear which cells you want to highlight.

Select the cells you want to apply the CF -> Highlight cells rules -> Use formula to determine which cells to format -> Insert the formula -> OK
Excel Formula:
=ABS(AJ18-AVERAGE($Z$18:$A$J18)) >STDEV.S($Z$18:$AJ$18)
