folks, need a hand on a stacked bar chart issue i am having. I am graphing incidents at work on a monthly basis. I need to present the data in a stacked column chart. I currently have each type of incident set up as a data series with the total number of incidents set up as an "invisible" data series to show only the number above the stacked column (thanks Jon Peltier in thread #298477). How can I work into this graph the percentage of each incident type per month over the total work load for the month? as opposed to the percentage of the total incidents per month. for example, last month there were 10 incidents at work (Type A= 1, Type B= 0, Type C = 5, TYpe D = 3, Type E = 0, Type F = 1). Of the 272 work transactions, the total incidents represent 3.7% activity (10/272). of this, TYpe A is 0.4% (1/272) etc

the finished result I want to present will be numbers of incidents on the Vertical axis stacked, with months across the Horizontal axis. I then want the user to be able to see what percent of total workload each section on each column represents, without haveing to manually add labels each month. any ideas?

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
You can add your % of incidents fomula on top of your stacked columns.

Then use this point as a label for the perentage.

Since it is a relatively small number you can either leave it alone as it may not show up to the naked eye or choose a fill color of none to get rid o the stack in the chart.

Is that what you are looking for?
