Stacked Clustered Column Chart

Hello excel experts,

I am trying to create a chart that has the following "rules":

- Plot months along X axis
- Plot two columns: Current Year, Prior Year
- Stack the categories that make up those total columns

Is there a way to make this happen in a Pivot Chart? If I try to add Category to my legend, to then stack, I just introduce double the columns instead of stacking them, and I don't know how to make this both clustered and stacked. I can stack, but then I lost the two column per month setup described above.

Here is the example chart: The four columns here are actually 2 categories split into two by current year and prior year.

Excel Facts
