Hi all,

sorry the title ain't great but I don't know how else to describe this.

I have a stacked chart with the largest number (19,000) formated so you can't see it. It's intentional as I'm only using this to get the first series in the right place with the right values.

If I use numbers totalling 22800 or less I get outcome A where the axis number starts at 17000, if I use numbers totaling 22801 or more it looks like outcome B where the axis number starts at 0.

I want outcome A "look" no matter the total, any ideas why this is happening?

Excel Facts

Last used cell?
Press Ctrl+End to move to what Excel thinks is the last used cell.
after playing with some numbers I can see that 16.7999 gets chart B, 16.8 gets chart A.

So it's the automatic axis bounding that's stuffing this up. An option is to manually select the minimum and maximum axis boundaries but this won't work for me as my numbers are dynamic and change drastically from single digits to tens of thousands.

Anyway I can control the axis boundaries more than the Bounds options? I'd really like to insert a formula here to state my maximum and minimum.
