Hi
Someone told me to learn SQL. I want to know, can SQL be used with excel? Is PowerQuery replacing SQL? I actually googled it and I read about it but I want to hear your opinion if you do not mind. Thank you very much.

Excel Facts

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.
Power Query is definitely NOT replacing SQL. SQL is a big, relational database program that can handle millions of records (while Excel ony allows a little over a million row of data per sheet, and if you approach those limits, you are most likely going to face performance issues).

You can use SQL in conjunction with VBA in Excel. Quite frankly, I do not like to do that, and like to use SQL more in conjunction with Micrsoft Access or use it on its own. I just find Excel a little too limiting and bit too cumbersome to use with Excel when there are better options. But that is just my opinion.
