Excel Joke
Why can't spreadsheets drive cars? They crash too often!
i need the range of the row to populate, example, A1 is a reference number 1012-1013, B1 is a name, C1 is a address, D1 is a phone number, E1 ...., etc.. next row A2 is a different reference number with different info and so on,

i want to use the reference number or name to be able to pull the specific info to a different sheet,

You can do what you request on your first worksheet (sheet1) you canchange that name.

enter you data base with the reference number located in column A.

Once you get that done. on a deifferent worksheet you can enter the reference number in cell a3 and in cell B3 enter a Vlookup formula to extract the data from workshee1.

you have to use the VLOOKUP formula for every cell you want to extract.

i will try, i think i figured it out, i assigned a reference number and did a individual range for each column that hit that reference number

Once you get your data base you should name that data base.

To name that Go to INSERT, Name, Define,
then assign a short unique name (you will use it later.)
then in the Refer to: block click on the square block at the end of the block the Highlight your date from the upper left to lower right and some extra line on the bottom.
Then click ok

the name range you just will be part of the vlookup formula.
