I know how to subtotal in Excel but my dilemma is:

Cust Number / Cust Name / Address / Sales

These are my column headers I subtotal Sales and it gives me a Cust Name with Total Sales. I also need the Address and Cust number for that Customer so I can copy totals over to a new spreadsheet. Does anyone have any idea how to do that.

Thanks.

Excel Facts

Create a chart in one keystroke
Select the data and press Alt+F1 to insert a default chart. You can change the default chart to any chart type
You can have multiple levels of subtotals. In the subtotal dialog box uncheck the replace current subtotals and then you can select the other items to subtotal by.

I don't think I explained myself. I only want the Subtotal for the sales but I want the Address and Name and Cust ID to show in the subtotal line so that when I only have the subtotals showing every column has something in it and if I then copy that over to another spreadsheet I have all the information.

I know of three different ways to get subtotals... Which method are you using?
My preference is via PivotTables.
