Hi
Under View tab there are 2 options: one is Split and another in New Window. I thought if we can split a worksheet then we can compare different parts of the sheet but we can also create a new window and compare different parts. So why we have these 2 very identical? Thank you.

Excel Facts

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
You can also view two different worksheets from the same workbook.

You can show one worksheet's formulas while looking at the same worksheet's values in the second view. You could hide objects (charts, shapes, boxes, etc.) in one view, using Ctrl+6, and have the objects unhidden in the other view. That's just off the top of my head, I'm sure there are plenty of other good uses of two separate views.
