I would like to freeze the top 30 rows via split screen and then be able to scroll the top panel left to right while the bottom panel remains justified to the left (A column). When I split the screen at row 31, I can scroll the top panel and the bottom panel up and down independently but I cannot scroIl the top panel left to right independently, it moves both the top and bottom panels left and right. Is it possible in Excel 2003 to do what I am explaining?

Excel Facts

Create a chart in one keystroke
Select the data and press Alt+F1 to insert a default chart. You can change the default chart to any chart type
You'll have to use two windows.

Excel is fierce in making sure that what appears to be the same column really is in the same column. Your interface would change that (e.g.. some cells Column M immediately above cells in column A), so Excel is going to balk

Interesting. Thanks for the response and (unfortunately for me) it makes sense. I'll have to utilize two windows.
