Hello,

If I know the month = 12 and Year = 2017, how do I convert to "December 31, 2017"?

Thanks in advance!!

Excel Facts

Copy PDF to Excel
Select data in PDF. Paste to Microsoft Word. Copy from Word and paste to Excel.
If you have an actual date in the cell, you can format that cell as mmmm d, yyyy

Use this formula in your cell (if your numbers are in cells, use the cell address instead of the hard-coded numbers)....

=DATE(2017,12,31)

and then use Format Cells to custom format it using this pattern...

mmmm d, yyyy

Doing it this way, the date in the cell is a real Excel date and can be used directly in date calculations. If you only need to display the date in that format and won't be using it in date calculations, you can get that output directly without needing to use Cell Formatting with this formula...

=TEXT(DATE(2017,12,31),"mmmm d, yyyy")
