oki i have an exel program that works with access, i store data around (1400 cells from various sheets) per one scenerio ... db is 5 tables with only one huge (1400*scenerios) ... it takes around 30 second to read and write from it ... is there a way to make it quicker or it's the way access works ... i'm using ADO to manage Access

recordset.addnew and .update .. maybe theres oder abit quicker way ?

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
Access works MUCH faster with internal tables than linked Excel tables. How often does the Excel data change? If the main data doesn't change constantly, or you only want to report once a week, consider importing the Excel data to an Access table. It'll be a whole lot quicker to run the reports.
