Specks on Excel worksheets

I have been experiencing magenta coloured specks and what look
like colon and line shadows on words and figures in my excel worksheet cells.
At times it looks like they cluster around the input text/figures.

Initially I thought it was my monitor. After changing to another
monitor it made no difference. Strangely this only occured in
Excel. All other programmes and desktop does not show this little
magenta coloured clusters.

Any thought on how I can clear them? I am thinking of
reformatting my PC but would appreciate any advice to clear
this problem before resorting to re-formatting.

Thanks

Thong

Hi Thong,

I doubt that reformatting your drive will have any affect on the problem, and I would recommend you check your computer's video card, which is the most likely culprit, before doing anything as drastic as reformatting the hard drive.

I guess you are right because now the specks
are all over the space and I would concur that the
video card is the culprit.
