Special Drop Down List

I'm looking for a way to setup a drop down menu that will give a sub menu depending on the primary menu selection and i need the sub menu item to be removed after it has been chosen. But, if I check a box that turns a cell to a TRUE value it will allow the sub item be used again (add it back to the list of sub items) without removing selection from the row or cell.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.
Re: Not sure if anyone can help with this one - Special Drop Down List

Let me rephrase:

You have a main menu - MM
You have a number of sub menu's (one for each of the main menu items) - SM1 to SMx
You have a checkbox - CB

If you select item 2 from MM, SM2 is shown
user picks an item from SM2

in the next cell the user again selects item 2 from MM
SM2 is shown, but the item(s) selected earlier are no longer in shown in SM2

unless the CB is ticked, then the full original SM2 is shown.

Is that correct?

This is fairly easy to do with VBA

That is correct. The one thing i forgot to mention is there will be three columns of these MMs and SMs as I want the user to be able to select up to three MM items on the same row.

The other catch is i will be keeping a log of how many sub menu items that were used over a month on a separate worksheet. So there will be one worksheet for each month as well.

I don't know VBA. I've been trying to figure this out by reading and trial and error of formulas.
