Hi everyone,

I have a task list which has around eight columns, including notably the shift ('day' or 'night') and deadline (time formatted as XX:XX) columns. A day shift is 07:00-19:00 and a night shift is 19:00-07:00.

The deadline column is sorted by default when you open the spreadsheet by smallest to largest, which works fine when filtering day shift only. When filtering night shift only, the issue is that it sorts tasks with deadlines from 00:00 first, instead of tasks with deadlines from the shift start time onwards, which is 19:00.

How do I get it so that when filtering night shift tasks only, it will sort from 19:00 through to 07:00 in chronological time order?

Thanks in advance.

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
