Hi All,

I have a list of values that gets automatically exported into excel but i need to change the layout of the numbers so that they are useful in other excel sheets. Currently it gets exported into 3 columns (LHS of picture) but it need it in 2 columns (RHS of picture). http://prntscr.com/jlb2l3

The column "main part" is the parent and "component part" is the child. if i put this into a pivot table in the rows section (level 1st, main part 2nd, component part 3rd) it will sort them into groups http://prntscr.com/jlbbkp . i cant find a way to get this to filter across so that all the numbers at lower levels will filter in between rather than below. i drew in the above picture to try make it easier to understand what i mean.

any help would be appreciated,
Jordan :)

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
Why are
VT31-02-070-01-MU02
and
VT31-05-003-01
in the red box in the second picture?
Those components don't belong to VT31-23-001-01?

They belong to the part vt31-01-101-01. I am trying to get them into one continuous list rather than have it split up by levels
