I use a feature in Treesize that generates a directory size report with expandable/collapsible rows that represent the folder hierarchy it's scanning. This makes it easier to view the directory in Excel as I can expand and collapse content. The problem is that although it's maintaining and grouping the folder structure, it's sorting the contents of each folder by file size. I was trying to sort the contents by FULL Path/File Name instead but when I use the sort function in the ribbon, no matter what field I choose to sort, it will not do anything. It stays grouped and in File Size order. I was wondering if I'm missing something in Excel that will allow me to sort by filename instead without breaking the grouping that Treesize created.

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
Try to seleect the whole table of data (uncluding the title row 5). Then turn the autoFilter on from the ribbon.
Then use the sort function from the down arrow next to Full Path.

As far as I can tell - Groups will be sorted as a whole byt the text in the first line. Then each group will be sorted internally.
Grouping will not be broken.

Sorting from the Ribbon should also work, but you have to select all the data, and it will sort it by the column, which contains the ActiveCell.
