Help me before my PC flys out of this window........

I am trying to sort ascending data in my spreadsheet. The information is as follows:

Column A = Account Code
Column B = Invoice Number
Remaining Columns = Additional Account Information.

What I need to do is sort Column A and then Column B. I have tried sorting it so that it sorts A & then B but All it willl do is sort the Account Codes correctly and leave the Invoice Numbers jumbled and not in numerical order.

Is this a problem with the spreadsheet or me?

Please Help

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
It is probably interpreting some invoice numbers as text and some as numbers.
This will jumble the sort order as you explain.

Create another column and insert the formula =TEXT(B2,0) in the cell at the top of the column and below the heading.
Copy the formula down for the lenght of the list.
Then copy the new column and paste special/values over the original list.

This should convert all the invoice numbers to text and hopefully solve your problem.
