Hi All,

What I am trying to do is sort data by date. I have data in the following format

No. Project Information Job 1 Date % Complete Resource
1 P395A2 BHL Tier 4 Final (US) 68kW Fri 29/05/15 96% Shaun

The column 'Job 1 Date' needs to become the column that sorts the data, so in the format that date is in is this possible? What seems to happen when I have tried to sort this data already is the dates do not show in chronological order and in fact are all jumbled up, can someone please assist?

Many thanks in advance.

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
Hi Harvey12 - It sounds like Excel is not recognizing the Job 1 Date column as a date. Make sure it is formatted as a date and then sort on that column. If this does not seem to work, copy the data into a test worksheet and then insert some fake dates that should sort correctly. I think by playing with the format and the sorting you should be able to make this work. Hope this helps. Good luck.
