Dear Excel expert,

I have a whole column filled with information like the following example:

G1:0
G2:0
G3:0
G4:Amsterdam
G5:0
G6:0
G7:0
G8:Groningen
... etc.

The whole column is filled with zero's and citynames in fixed sequential order. I want to filter the Zero's out in a different column but there has to take into account that information in colum H and J is linked to column G.

Example:
G4: Amsterdam & H4: info@amsterdam.nl & J4: www.amsterdam.nl

This linked information must hold.

What can I do in this case?

Greetz,

Jacco

Excel Facts

Easy bullets in Excel
If you have a numeric keypad, press Alt+7 on numeric keypad to type a bullet in Excel.
In a separate column add this function with what ever header you want:

=if(G1=0, "delete","keep")

Apply an auto filter to the row with your headers (highlight the row then select Data>Filter>Auto filter). Sort by "delete". Once that's done delete all the rows marked "delete" and you should be good to go.

Alternately, you can use a pivot table to sort all info but the first solution should be pretty easy to do.

I couldn't fix it to what I had in mind. Is it possible to send you the document together with the "specs" by mail? I'm sure somebody else than me can fix it in a couple of seconds.

Greetings, Jacco Peene
