Seems this should be fairly simple, but various things I have tried after Google searches have not worked. I would like to sort the following in Alpha-numeric order, but can't get the number sorting correct.

P101
P102
P103
P104
P105
P106
P107
P108
P109
P110
P111
P43
P50
P78
P79

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
You'll need to involve a second column to achieve the results you're looking for. If the first character will always be a letter, you can use the MID formula (=MID(A2,2,10)) to extract numbers only in the new column. Then, sort on the new column.
