Sorting a protected sheet

Hello

I have added sheet protection. There are only three columns of info in the sheet, and all of them are locked under Format Cells/Protection/Locked.

When I protected the sheet, it gave me options to allow certain functions while protected.

I chose:

Select Locked Cells
Select unlocked cells
Sort
Use autofilter

When I try to sort a column and have all three columns move together with the sort, I get a popup saying the sheet is protected. I thought choosing "Sort" as an allowable option would allow me to sort the protected columns.

If all I want to do is filter and sort the columns, but shut down all other functions on this sheet, how do I do that? I have filters on each column, and they work fine while the sheet is protected

Thanks
Eric

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
Hi there. The sort option on the protected sheets only allows you to sort cells that are not locked. The filtering works fine because you are not changing the order of the data, only whats displayed. To achieve what you want I suggest you record or write a macro that unprotects the sheet, sorts the columns then re-protects the sheet. You could link that macro to a button at the top of the columns or make it run on a hotkey combination.
