Hello, I am trying to sort a column with data like this: ans-1 ~ ans-10500 but when I sort is not in sequence.
How can I make it sorted in numbering sequence.
Thanks in advance

ans-1
john

ans-10
Edward

ans-1000
mike

ans-1001
dool

ans-1002
roger

you could put a helper column in beside it and sort using that column.

=MID(A1,SEARCH("-",A1)+1,256)
