Hi all!

This is probably something simple but just can't get my head around it ...

When I try to expand the excel data it always uses alphabetical order and I don't want that, I want it to use the original order that was in the Excel file. I just can't find a way for it to keep the original column sorting order.

I use this guide to import the Excel data:

Excel Facts

Create a chart in one keystroke
Select the data and press Alt+F1 to insert a default chart. You can change the default chart to any chart type
I'm not sure what you are doing, but have you tried to add an Index column and then sort on that before importing? Where are you importing the data? If it is into Power Pivot, you won't have any control over the final sort order.

I'm importing a certain sheet (same sheet in all excel files) from several Excel files, about 20 of them. I use the From folder function. I then place the data I import in to a normal excel sheet.

I guess I don't understand why the natural behaviour is a problem. Generally speaking you can't/don't control the sort order in databases. The numbers add up the same regardless (of course) and you can visually sort the table once it is loaded.
